وقام الشاب أحمد زهير، برسم صورة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبدالله - رحمه الله - مذيلها بالعبارات الحزينة تعبيراً عن حبه للفقيد، مستغربا من انتشارها السريع في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي, عاداً ذلك دلالة واضحة على محبة الناس لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبدالله - رحمه الله - ومقدما شكره لمَن نشرها.
وشهد الكورنيش تجمهر عدد كبير من المارة الذين وثّقوا بكاميرات هواتفهم الصورة الجميلة, وسط دعواتهم لخادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز بالرحمة والمغفرة.
ووقف المشاهدون على الرسم من بدايته إلى نهايته، والتقاط صور تعبيرية معه، حيث قام بعضهم بتقبيلها، والبعض الآخر اكتفى بالتلويح بيديه وتوديعه، فيما عبّر البعض الآخر عن حزنه بالوقوف وذرف الدموع على ذكراه.
